For more than 70 years, Maguire & McInerney has been successfully meeting the needs of our varied clients.

Tom Maguire and Tom McInerney entered into partnership in 1937 having met a decade earlier when they completed their Articles of Clerkship in the same office in Sydney. Their individual skills perfectly complemented one another.

Mr Maguire handled conveyancing, common law claims and workers' compensation. He was known for his gentlemanly approach to the practice of law and a willingness to assist fellow practitioners. Tom McInerney practiced extensively in general litigation, vehicle law, divorce and criminal law and he quickly acquired the reputation for advocacy. Each served two years as president of the Wollongong and District Law Society.
